Groenewald Attorneys was established in September 2003 in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal. 

We are a general practice with a special interest and focus on civil, matrimonial and commercial litigation and conveyancing.

We have a close and long standing working relationship with reputable correspondent firms in Pietermaritzburg, who assist us in our High Court matters and also in the Deeds Office.

 Our People

PROPRIETOR: ANDRE GROENEWALD

Mr Groenewald matriculated at the Hoërskool Port Natal in Durban, and completed his compulsory Defence Force service in Simon's Town, Cape Town. 

He obtained his B. Proc and LLB degrees and an Advanced Diploma in Labour Law from the Rand Afrikaans University (the present UJ) in Johannesburg.

He was admitted as an attorney in 1997, as a conveyancer in 1998, and as a notary public in 2003.

Before he relocated to Newcastle in 2003, Mr Groenewald worked as an attorney in Vryheid for 5 years.

MELINDA VAN ROOYEN (left) 

is the personal assistant to Mr Groenewald. 

MARIETTE GROENEWALD (centre) 

heads our conveyancing and notarial department. 

AMARENCIA DEKKER (right) 

completed her LLB at the North West University (Potchefstroom Campus) in 2012, and is an articled clerk at the firm.
